We bid jobs to multiple clients and need to use the same job name using different job numbers.
We work at hotels and apartment complexes and use the room or apt. number as the job name and often do work in the same unit more than once.
Why was this feature taken away with the latest update??

• We use this feature to change the short name once a job, client or vendor meet a certain criteria... "Collections" "Completed" "DoNotUse" etc. It is visually helpful to our users at selection point. We DESPERATELY NEED THIS!!!

• When attempting to create a custom report, it omits duplicate names if they match the field immediately above it. Some reports require the data to repeat in each row, as in payroll reports to a payroll vendor, or a bank, etc. Need the option to show or not show the duplicates. Really need this! Jim Schuett

• Our short name field is used for 2-4 letter Acronym for project that is easy for workers to reference on Time cards, invoices etc. We frequently run into duplicates with the multi-year ledger.
  
  ** After F7 field "unchecked Require Unique" probably solves issue. Have not looked at that field since I rename Desc & Prompt"
