It would be wonderful to be able to print a report by calculation type to easily see what employees have a certain calculation (ie 401k or medical for example)

You can achieve this via a query in 5-2-2 payroll records
You can create this report in 13-3
This should be standard with the system as there are reporting requirements, specifically with 401K reporting.
