For companies whose fiscal year end is NOT 12/31, the accounting period box isn't obvious to them as to what period they are posting to. If they are posting to June and their fiscal year end is Sept, then it is period 9. If you include the month name then they know they have the right period.

Totally agree. Also would be helpful to have the posting period box be larger.
Would be even better is it showed the month based on your true year end which would be pulled from the set up properties I would think.
