When an invoice is created and mistakenly NOT posted to a Subcontract, it cannot be applied to the subcontract at a later date, when the problem is recognized. This opens the door for overpayment to a subcontractor, and subcontractor reports are useless as they are inaccurate. (Even Quickbooks has this feature.) I've been asking for this for 13 years now : )
Some may be saying, "Yes you can add it after" ... but you can't if is on a T&M inv that has been posted. We are a Cost Plus Co and we provide a Progress Inv and Invoice Detail as backup. So, we have to create both, then void the T&M. Once the T&M invoice is voided, nothing can be changed -- including adding a subcontract to the invoice : )
