the ability when creating an invoice to be given a warning/pop up that the customer likes invoices emailed so that you don't waste paper printing off invoice then realize it should be emailed. When you have a large client base and a number of different people invoicing you can not always remember off the top of your head they are a paperless company.

I think a broader improvement would be window level pop up notifications. This could be implemented like how the report scheduler is. This way, you could have pop ups based on the criteria you want, on the windows you want. For example, our company actually needs the opposite of yours (a pop up saying they like their invoices mailed instead of emailed; this would save us time trying to find an email address when it has already been established that they don’t have an email/prefer paper). We could create a pop up notification based on specific criteria that we decide.
