The Status of a Work Order Should automatically change to complete once the Filed Tech has completed the work and finished his report in the field. That would allow for easy sorting of work orders that are completed but not yet billed. We consistently have 80+ open Work Orders at any given time. These Are all billed from the office not the field. The only way to see which ones are complete and ready to be billed is to go into each Work Order in the list which is extremely time consuming.

Create a custom report with Work Orders that have statuses 6 and 7, and also have costs against the job. Sometimes however, that doesn’t mean the job should be billed (for example, if a return visit is needed). Our company actually uses a report like this and it works fantastic.
