Microsoft Outlook is unquestionably one of the most used email/contact/reminder softwares used by businesses today. For simplicity, there are a few things that many Sage 100C users (and customers of Sage 100C companies) would greatly benefit from:
- Export tasks from Sage 100C to Outlook. This would allow managers to delegate tasks easily, get live % complete information, and more. This would be so simple but would be convenient if there was an expedited way of doing this.
- More importantly than tasks, allow Sage 100C to generate .ics files for appointments and scheduled work orders. This would provide a convenient way for clients to set reminders in their phone/digital calendar, and field technicians could customize how they want to see their schedules.
These should also be relatively simple to implement. From my understanding, .ics files use XML...developers would literally just have to map the Outlook fields to the Sage fields. Tasks may be more difficult, as the only way to import them into Outlook seems to be the import/export module.

OMG this would be fantastic and avoid having to use Procore or some other convoluted and expensive 3rd party app.
