It would be nice if the Admin can enter a password to update a record that is in a closed period. Currently, we have to open the period for ALL USERS and that is an opportunity for non-admin users to make entries when they shouldn't.

This would be helpful when closing a month / quarter in General Ledger.
When closing the month, other users should not be able to post any receivable / work order / payable entries. This messes up Sales Tax reports among other reports that are submitted.
This, and/or an option that new transactions (especially journal transactions) can be added in closed periods with a password or automatic ability if logged in with admin rights.
