We are interested in seeing a list of current employees WAY more often than seeing a list of all records. It's a waste of time to have to click on "Current" every. single. time.
At the very least, set it to remember the last state it was in.

open 5-1-1-1 Employee List and enter the status 1 for current. Select the Defaults tab at the top and click "save printing defaults".
