Everyone should have to option to search based on whichever column they have the lookup window sorted by. Some have hundreds of Smith (s) but only 5 Eduardo. So there are definitely cases where first name is the better choice. Please don't decide for us. If determined by lookup window sort, then I can toggle back and forth depending on my needs.

From any menu that has employee fields where I need to select the employee, technician, supervisor, etc.
Absolutely allow an option. Current system allows by last name but often I am searching by first name.
In not a an option based on lookup window sort, then how about an option to turn on by last or first name as a user preference.
