Have the ability to post to income on a progress billing as you go. If a builder want you to submit monthly, you need to know where you are at on an income basis as you complete portions of the job. Otherwise, you are recording labor and materials against the job, and not recording the income until the progress is completed for a month or weeks. This gives a false sense of where you are at financially.
