Overview
We would like to request the addition of clock-in/clock-out functionality within Sage 100’s time-tracking system, including timestamp tracking for breaks and lunch periods. This feature would allow employees to accurately log their work hours directly in Sage, similar to TSheets, enhancing payroll accuracy and labor tracking.
Current Limitation
Currently, Sage 100’s Simple Time Entry does not provide a way for employees to clock in and clock out in real-time. Users must manually enter their total work hours, which can lead to errors, inefficiencies, and increased administrative work.
Proposed Solution
We propose adding a real-time clock-in/clock-out feature accessible via both the desktop and mobile versions of Sage 100. This functionality should include:
• Clock-In/Clock-Out Buttons – Employees can start and end shifts with a simple click.
• Break & Lunch Tracking – Ability to record start and end times for lunches and rest breaks.
• Mobile App Integration – Employees can clock in/out from their phones for added convenience.
• Automated Timesheet Entry – Logged hours should automatically populate timesheets for payroll processing.
• Geofencing (Optional) – Restrict clock-ins/outs to specific job sites or office locations.
