Prior to implementation we inquired if the NAHB chart of accounts was a pre-built option that we could load at implementation and were told yes. During implementation we requested it and our consultant loaded a general GL- Chart of Accounts which is close but not the same. We were told not to worry that we can simply change it. Now I am told that the NAHB is not a pre-built option and was reassured by suggesting I just go in and spend time making changes. Could Sage simply offer a pre-built chart of accounts based on the NAHB industry standards? That should be very easy for you to set up as a pre-built. This would be better than asking your clients to do busy work and risk making human errors with the Account Ranges and Dedicated Accounts that cannot be corrected once a transaction is created. Please make implementation easier not harder.
