Possibly use a deduction code (employee draw) with a negative amount? Maybe you want it to be automatically pulled from the next regular paycheck?
We currently can do an advance in Payroll. We just created an earings code but not subject to any taxes, etc. We have no problems with this. When do our quarter end, that figure is excluded from total wages. Simple to me.
We use the Deduction Code with the negative amount. Works just fine.
We did the negative decution code with our other system but it would then erase the YTD history. You wouldn't be able to see if that person has taken out advances before because one it was paid off (zero), the deduction is removed.
