Create a Bill of Material Production Order Entry function, with an Order Date, Planned Production date, etc, similar to Purchase Order. Include it in MRP and inventory qty available.
This would enable people with light manufacturing needs to use BM instead of trying to half use work order, or opting for another system because they don't want to deal with the complexities of work order.
