Add a "Discount from List Price" cost calculation method. MANY distribution businesses buy from manufacturers based on a discount from MSRP. Currently for MAS90 to default the correct cost on a PO, you have to manually calculate that discount from MSRP cost and input a Vendor Price Level record for each item you buy from a particular manufacturer. This is a very data entry intensive process. When the manufacturer changes pricing, you then have to recalculate all your unit costs and edit all of those price level records.
If this option were added, you could setup just a few price level records by vendor and product line to handle all the cost calculations. And when pricing changes, you do not have to edit any of your price level records. You simply update the List Price field, which you'd be doing anyway. This would provide a SIGNIFICANT time savings for distributors.
Additionally, manufacturer's discounts often increase with the value of the order. Currently, price levels are only tiered by quantity. This could be addressed by allowing the user to specify on each price level whether the tiers are based on quantities OR dollars.
