Having to enter a Zip Code when the Country Code is the UK can prove difficult at best.
If the Zip Code filed were to "open up" to allow users to enter [for example] a UK Zip Code:
LONDON
EC1Y 8SY
GREAT BRITAIN
or if the field was not "REQUIRED" if the Country Code did not = USA
Hong Kong, where they do not use Zip Codes at all:
Kwai Chung, N.T.,
HONG KONG
Did you know For Hong Kong, the address should always include :
1. Name of addressee,
2. Flat and Floor numbers,
3. Name of building,
4. Number of building and name of street,
5. Name of village, town or district (in CAPITAL LETTERS),
6. Hong Kong, Kowloon or New Territories as appropriate (in CAPITAL LETTERS).
We are not able to do that in MAS90/200.

Hong Kong addresses are particularly problematic. A/R vendor name filed is not long enough for some vendors. HK banks will not accept a check if the name is abbreviated.
I ship all over the world and it would be nice if I could have the zip codes in a database based on the country. This way if the address is in Canada I can enter the postal code and it will pull in the city and province like it does for US address's. Some of the issues now is that some countries have 5 digit zip codes, others like Canada have tens of thousands of zip codes. If each country was in its own database it would make upkeep easier. I imported all the zip codes for Australia into my system but that was the only country that was manageable to do. Would like to do Canada and United Kingdom.
Agreed, looks like Sage did not think that companies that use MAS200 may sell outside the USA. We import our orders from our web site using In-Sync and because of Zip Codes not matching, all the addresses including Credit Card address are messed up. And what is up with the State being mandatory???
I think that MAS should be able to display multiple Zip codes if there is more than one zip code found, this would allow for someone to pick the right zip code. I have found international zip codes are duplicate to some US zip codes. This type of a MOD would not be difficult to ADD!!!!!!!
Address fields have been expanded, and zip/postal code is now country specific, to accomodate international addresses in the 2020 release of Sage 100cloud.
