  • Accounts Receivable|Utilities|Delete and Change Customers will do the trick!

  • That is true, but its completely unintuitive to end users to have a function to change customer number right on the screen that doesn't actually work 90% of the time because of the presense of any previous activity. How many know to go into some utility menu 3 choices deep to do the job. This function should call the renumber engine and just work and not be obvious it was an after thought bolt-on.

  • I think it would be dangerous to have all users able to change customer/vendor codes at will. It should be a controlled process or you will have the customer code wars as everyone keeps changing to what they think is intuitive.

  • We should be able to Renumber a Customer ID without having to jump through hoops to do it. We could restrict the rights of those who are allowed to do it, but if the box Renumber exists, we should be allowed to use it. Sometimes a code is accidentally entered wrong, and not caught until after an order is placed. Now we are stuck with that code. That's ridiculous.
