I think Sage is well aware of the ongoing problems with the aged payables & receivables reports. These reports should not generate from the document date, but from posting date. This is my 2nd upgrade and I'm very disappointed that this problem has not been addressed.

Aged receivable report has an option to do exactly what you want.
Unfortunately aged payable does not.
Why not use the trial balance reports?
It is my understanding that the aged reports are aged off of document dates, not transaction/posting dates. The trial balance reports were written to use the Transaction date so they should always balance againest GL.
Why not put the posting date and the transaction date?
I agree with the comment above. It should at least be an option to print the AP Aging report based on transaction date.
Agreed - give us the option instead of having to run two separate reports and analyze why they are different.
They generate off of two differnt dates and it's very difficult to get them to balance.
I agree with this idea. Trying to figure out what invoice was posted in the wrong period is difficult. If you could pull the report by transaction date you could view the invoice dates and figure it out much easier. And this should always balance to the GL. great idea.
There should be a flag in the options that would either allow (or not) the GL and module date to be different as well as a canned report that you could use to find the date errors. We have had to create custom reports and alerts to catch these problems.
We should be able to balance the AR and AP aging to the GL. Everything I've read and every support person I've spoken to says we have to balance to the TB. This is ridiculous. Accounting 101, AR and AP aging must balance to the GL. Same issue with Inventory. Very frustrating.
