Ability to sort and find the vendor alias item number

Presently in 4.40.0.01 version, the alias item number is stored as it is entered and does not sort in alphabetical or numerical order. When doing invoice or goods receipt, I have to look up the vendor alias number. The path is: Vendor Inquiry-More-Items-Alias (button). It is painful to search for the alias item number if there are hundreds of alias item number. The feature to sort and also a search (find) button would be very helpful in case of the vendor alias item number.
