In v. 4.2, the "beep" alerted us when we entered a discontinued item on the SO Entry. But v4.3 and v4.4 no longer has this sound. We enter up to 100 line items on the SO Entry and don't look at the screen when keying items in. The "beep" alert is highly useful. I will not upgrade from v4.2 until this audio alert is restored.

A beep alert would be very handy at numerous places where a touch typest might make a mistake or ask for a none-existent value. Places where 'on the fly' additions can occur are just one area. A number of our clients have usage patterns where the default will make the wrong choice for them.
Any sound any application makes should be an option. I agree this could be helpful but some of us like our computers quiet.
