It would be best if it could include the form as well as the data. Currently when you change the amounts of the Social Security limit, etc. in one company, it changes them for all your prior companies as well, making it impossible to recreate the original W-2 in some cases.

I agree but as a work around there are pdf writers that can be downloaded and installed. Select the pdf as your printer option and print them to pdf yourself.
Federal E-filing and Reporting in 4.3 and above effectively does this.
