Prior to 4.4 in the non framework modules you were able to change the default settings for most drop down option for Inventory and Purchase Orders. In 4.4 with the changes to customizer this is no longer an option since the status field is greyed. A default for a check box can be changed thru custom office, but the drop downs are not accessable as a setting option.

The ability to set these options gives a company the control over the natural flow of data entry to best follow their workflow requirements.

  • You may wish to look at Resolution ID 490636 "How to change default control validation and options in Business Framework Modules using Advanced Field Settings". Getting there isn't easy for me to remember but it has worked for me in the past.
