Before we make a new customer, we look up to see if the person/company has purchased from us before. We find it easy to look this information up by zip code or phone number or email. What is not easy is pulling down the menu every time to zip code. If I were able to set the zip code (or other field) as top priority in lookup customization I could then just tab over and enter the zip code, 1 less step. The same would hold true in other lookup customization windows i.e. IM, AP, etc. BTW I realize you can't delete the control number nor would I want to, I just want to lower the priory of it so it can default to another field.

• Easy enough. In the lookup, click on custom button in lower left corner, create new view, give it a name, click default and go through the steps.
