Accounts Payable allows users to define the format of the posting comment. A similar feature would be helpful in other modules such as AR, SO, Inventory, etc.

I agree, especially for inventory. All that posts to the GL is "INVENTORY TRANSACTION (ISSUE)". It would be useful for report readers if instead some combination of the item number and the the comment were posted to the GL.
This would be great! I have had this request several times!
