I am researching the need for an AR Collections Management module that integrates with Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 AR. This module would provide customers with a proactive way to manage their collections (track communications, automatically send invoices and payment reminders via email, provide a collections dashboard), and offer a service component to pull credit scores, payment collectability scores (delinquent customer's probability to pay), delinquent customer’s address validation, and credit bureau letter mail merge integration (service to send delinquent customers an Experian letter that lets delinquent customer know that there credit score is in jeopardy).
Please share your AR collections requirements.

  • To add to/expand on what you've suggested, I'm envisioning the following:

-- A way to create a list of customer accounts that are past due. The list can be based on aging category, state, and other criteria.

-- A data entry screen that lets you navigate through the past-due customer account list. Relevant information should be available, including outstanding invoices, payment history, and the customer contact list.

There should also be a place to document payment arrangements. This is critical both for follow-up and in case the collection effort ends up in court.

-- Reports that show broken payment arrangements and how much was collected.

    Any other ideas, anyone?

  • How about a new tab or a menu option under "More" that lists all past due invoices based on a criteria in AR options. The user indicates in the setup options how many days past due an invoice should be to begin collection activities. Then, in the collections area there should be an easy way to select invoices to reprint in a single file to be emailed to the customer. Also, secondary grid should show the activities performed; date, type, contact, first 30 characters of the note of the activity. The user should be able to easily drill into the activity and modify as needed. The user should be able to easily add a new activity.
