It would be very convenient if the WRK tables could be set to remain populated for report creation and revision.
Or, just don't clear the table until the next report is initialized in MAS.

  • This would be VERY helpful

  • Actually, the wrk tables are NEVER populated. A copy is created when the report is previewed with the user name and creation date data appended to the file (SO_InvoiceWrkJAS060322577187.M4T). So if you preview the report, use windows Explorer to navigate to the data folder that it resides in (e.g. if it is a SO report, look in the \masxxx\soxxx folder). If you sort the files by date, the file in question will appear near the top. Make a copy of that file (Copy_SO_InvoiceWrkJAS060322577187.M4T). Close the report in MAS. Rename the official MAS work file (SO_InvoiceWrk.M4T) to .old. Rename the copy file (Copy_SO_InvoiceWrkJAS060322577187.M4T => SO_InvoiceWrk.M4T). You can now use the work file to refresh the Crystal Designer.

  • I think the point is, this is an EXTREMELY cumbersome process--unnecessarily so. And if you are on Sage Premium this isn't even the process that would work. It would be very nice if Sage would make provision for editing that don't involve all these extra steps.
