PROBLEM: Presently, we must enter the credit card amount in the Credit Card Deposit field, then select customer and invoices. When our customers take credit cards on collection calls, they need to review and negotiate the open invoices with their customers - sometimes taking discounts, sometimes taking partial payments, and sometimes taking a prepayment. Presently, they can't perform this customer facing task without manually calculating all of the variables prior to enter the Credit Card Deposit.
SOLUTION: The process should allow for selecting customer, invoices, discounts, perhaps even entering a prepayment, etc, then authorizing a single transaction for that calculated amount and entering it in the Credit Card Deposit field. It should mimic a Cash Deposit in which you can leave the deposit amount blank and when Accepting, it will automatically populate the Cash Deposit Amount field.
