Most businesses are somewhat seasonal. We need the ability to set up our reorder points (minimum stocking levels) to be different for certain months of the year. In the spring and summer I need to have more stock on hand than in the fall & winter months. By using a seasonal factor I could maintain higher inventory levels during the peak season but have lower inventory levels during the slower seasons. This could be done in a couple of different ways either by plugging in the actual levels each month(or quarter) or by using a multiplier number (% percentage) for the slower seasons. Ideally this would be by part number by month.
