Would be FANTASTIC if MAS could include a basic alert tool that would do things like notify a buyer when an inventory item is below its' reorder point, or if a customer is past due on their account, or a PO is past it's require date...basic stuff like that......and do this without having to deploy a full-blown alert product like Business Alerts or Knowledgesynch.

BA and KS are good products, but NOT simple, and require product knowledge to setup, to maintain and to create alerts. They have their place for more complicated alert or notification needs, but sometimes all the user really needs is a very basic alert that runs within MAS for simple stuff.

  • I don't think I agree with this. Why should Sage re-invent the wheel when more competent products are already in the marketplace?

  • I think a basic alerting system would be great for MAS90. Email is already built in so doing this shouldn't be a big deal.. Save KS for more advanced needs.

  • Business Alerts are great. But you have to have someone trained to use them. Our IT department runs our business alerts. It would be helpful if individual users to set up their own basic alerts.
