MAS users have the MAS desktop open all day long, so having buttons/icons available to them makes reaching out and connecting with Sage much easier and more efficient than having to open a web-browser, find the site etc.
Often times, a new product idea will come up "on the fly" and if there is easy access to the idea site, they can quickly submit the idea. Sage can also use a similar concept for the Sage Knowledgebase site, and the Sage YouTube tutorial sites because the MAS Help files are not always helpful.

In the Details View, on the Information Center, the KB support site Link is "Sage MAS 90 and 200 Support" and the Ideas site is "Tell Us What You Think". It also has links to SageU.com and the Sage MAS Community Forum. Resources and Tutorials have links to a bunch of other stuff including "What's New" and some videos.
You can also drag any windows menu item or shortcut to the area to the right of the Details View button (Custom Buttons Tool Bar). If you don't like having the detail view on all the time, put a button for Information Center (And/Or Resources, Tutorials, Business Insights Dashboard)up there.
Try going to Tutorials > A Tour of Sage MAS 90 and 200 > A Tour of Sage MAS 90 and 200(again)> Customizing the Desktop > Customizing Your Custom Buttons Toolbar.
I often use the Custom Buttons Toolbar to provide Clients with quick access to the Windows Calculator and FRx, SMI, F9, BizInsights or what ever they use for Financials.
