In WO transaction entry, the user is given the option to complete to either scrap, Inventory, SO or WO. Regardless of the choice, the completed parts post to inventory. Intuitively this does not make sense for the case of "complete to WO". The expectation is that the material be automatically issued to the parent WO upon completion, since that is more consistent with the actual workflow.
For example:
1) I create WO 100 as make for SO 50698.
2) I create WO 101 as make for WO 100.
3) I build WO 101, complete it to WO 100. The physical daughter part I just built gets sent over to the next integration phase in production. However, in MAS, it appears to be in inventory. We now have to do a second transaction to issue the material to WO 100.
In the above example, I am building to order, to ship right away. Let's say I wanted to build up a bunch of those daughter parts and store them in inventory for future use. In that case I would simply build them as a make for Inventory, complete to inventory.
That's why the make for WO, complete to WO funtionality doesn't make sense UNLESS it automatically issues the material. Otherwise, its no different than the Make for Inventory choice.
