The new Product Enhancement Program defaults to being on, and if you have switched it off, and then install a product update, it gets switched on again!
Anything that sends information back to the publisher should be opt-in, meaning it does not send info unless you specifically turn it on. Sage is currently doing this as opt-out, meaning it defaults to sending the info unless you specifically turn it off. Another word for that is spyware! Especially if installing an update changes a setting you have already made.
