We would like to be able to Delete Discontiued Inventory. If that is not possible we would be interested in being able to hide the Discontiued items so that the Sales People cannot select them or use them.

You can delete or change an item through Inventory Management, Utilities, Delete and Change Items

We would LOVE this option! The way we handle discontinued items is as follows: We created a product line called "OLD". When an item is disco'd we change the product type to discontinued and the product line to OLD. I then created a filter in the inventory lookup to all items not equal to product line OLD. This at least prevents sales people from selecting disco'd items.
Our issue is that we have SO many items that are discontinued in the DB that the IM utility would be a tedious project and has too much potential for error.
Ideally, for us, there would be a utility that would enable all Discontinued Items to be deleted, and if there were parameters based on "Last Sold Date" that would be even better.
We have many items that have discontinued. Click the "Inactive" box in Item Maint. At the bottom of the screen you can set up a new file called "Active Items" and use that as your default. None of your inactive items will show up when you click the spyglass.
