Negative Inventory Control - How can you sell what you don't have? Thus...have an option in inventory module setup (OR in inventory maintenance) that allows an inventory item to go negative or not. Most warehouse managers and inventory control people do not like dealing with negative on hand inventory caused by sloppy order entry or other weird entries, so giving them the control for this would be a great step forward. By default, the check box/control to NOT allow negative inventory on-hand quanties should be on, and if you really want to deal with negative inventory for on-hand quantities, you can turn it off. This will alleviate a LOT of inventory clean up and unecessary inventory (negative tier?) work.

Instead of posting a new suggestion, I would just vote for the existing suggestion. If you post the same suggestion multiple times, some people vote for one, some people vote for another, and each suggestion doesn't carry as much weight as one suggestion with the sum of all votes. Here is the original suggestion: https://www11.v1ideas.com/SageERP/MAS90and200/Idea/Detail/540
I agree, Dawn...if I had found the other link, I would surely have voted for it. I did search the postings prior to making mine, but the one you refer to didn't come up...don't know why, but it didn't. At any rate, I did go vote for it. Thanks for the heads up.
Just because it shows negative on hand does not mean it isn't in the warehouse. When we receive an item it doesn't get posted until the invoice is processed. Sometimes it takes a week.
