We do not follow the item quantity tier pricing structure. Rather, we utilize an order volume structure. We don't care how many of an item the customer wants, we only care about the order total. For example, a promo we run is "Free Shipping on Orders Over $100" not "Free Shipping on 6 of Any Product." We had this "customized" by a master developer, but believe it would be better integrated into the system if it were to actually be designed that way. We also use a same structure on our price levels and discounts.
