Until last month I was still using 4.3. Swallowed the cost of upgrading to 4.5 and the primary reason was to get the Auto Earnings Codes feature that had been advertised as working just like Auto Deductions. Well, they don't - not for someone who imports hours into PR Data entry using VI, or who doesn't Auto Pay. We have 100 employees and 90% of them are hourly so importing is necessary and Auto Pay isn't realistic with hourly workers. We have a benefit that allows our employees who have health coverage through a spouse to use the premium we would have paid for them on other voluntary coverages, like dental. We give them those amounts and 25% of anything left over as additional earning in their checks. We have quite a few this way and I have to manually add them into PR Data Entry. Right now the only way to use Auto ECs for me is to Auto Pay my hourly employees the same amount of hours or manually enter PR. I REALLY hope Sage updates the Auto ECs so they are picked up when using VI to import hours into PR Data Entry. If they can do it for Auto Deductions is it that hard to do for Auto Earnings?
