In older versions we could have 20 people counting and 5 people entering physical count data, printing the variance registers, and sending the sheets back for recounts. With the latest version you can not update the product line while others are entering data or have inventory inquiry open. By only allowing 1 person to do data entry it substantially slows the process

OMG i did not know that! We just upgraded from a very old version and now inventory entry is going to take forever!
We just upgraded to 2013 and it is a nightmare when you have multiple locations having to have everyone exit the system to run a variance.
This should be a "batch" process like other modules
We just completed a 5 branch 30 person physical count and this was the first one we have performed with the newer version of MAS. Correct, a complete nightmare. I personally spent hours calling branches and requesting everyone get completely out so one of the branches could print a variance. Our report was 750 pages long and required 4 printings. Thankfully I was able to get hold of our reseller on the Friday night and he was able to provide us the option to only print the variances. perhaps we should request a few of the Sage programmers partake in a physical count and they will soon realize this is an awful design.
What is next, everyone out of MAS to update an invoice or receipt of goods.
This is BAD.
