when you disassemble a serial item, it does not matter if you choose 'Produced Item" or "Production Reversal", the disassemble does not read from production history and disassemble the correct items used for production entry for the serial item. It reads from the current BOM.
If Item 'Widget', Serial No 1234, had additional components used in the production entry, then when you disassemble this item/serial no, the disassembly should read the history files and dissemble the additional components.
