I would like a utility or option that will look for any Work Orders currently in the system for a Bill of Material that is changing. This would then give the user an option to update all the Work Orders for that part to update the material list so demand will be reflected correctly.

I believe this an imperative feature for users like myself who manufacture very complex and custom equipment that are rarely correct 100% from the initial bill of material that was established. Not having this feature is extremely labor intensive to implement and track changes that are made. Currently any changes that we would want to automate throughout all our departments would require us to unissue all goods and labor, delete the work orders, reissue new work orders with the corrected BOM being used, then finally reissuing all part and labor. The and only then will MRP pickup the changes so the parts can be ordered and the S&R department knows to fill the backorder to the proper work order once the goods arrive...way too much work!
Very upset and very tired trying to keep all departments aware of all the changes. There has to be other manufacturers like myself who are dealing with this same issue, please speak up so we can get this done.
