We would like to be able to change a standard order to a quote. A lot of times we don't know the person isn't ordering right then until we get to the Totals tab and ask them about payment. At that point we can't change the order to a quote. That sure would be really nice.

Also the "Copy From" needs to default to "Price quote".
It is ridiculous that sage made the System Default to be Standard Order.
I had to pay a developer to write a modification program in order to have quotes as defaults.
To Ricardo A. -- You can change the default to be Quote. Click on the Defaults button on the SO entry screen. This default option is per User. When you change default to Quote instead of Order it will ask you if you want to keep this setting for all future sessions, answer Yes so that it keeps that default.
This has been one request I hear over and over again from my insides sales team.
This change would be a huge savings of time and also wouldn't hold up inventory when we put the order in as a Sales Order rather than a quote
This could be a possible solution? Start in quote entry then escalate to an order if needed?
