The program should calculate the total cost and gross profit for the sales order. You could set a default to StdCost, LastCost, or AverCost. It would check the Profit Margin Percent display warning level in Sales Order Options and require an override code.

Yes, I agree that this is a need in our organization. Standard cost is preferable to average cost in our world.
