Sage has put the extended descriptions in a separate table and a index to link the descriptions which is extremely slow and not very efficient and a headache for all of us,
SAGE please put the extended description in their perspective tables like CI_item PO and remove the need for linking back to make thing work you can always add CI_item to other modules

What I don't understand is why the extended description text is not available in every database that has an item code and description. It does not make sense to have to create any UDF or UDT to add something that is a necessary field to begin with. That would be like having to create the item description field for the item code on every report. It should be available in every database option. The whole extended description problem has been ongoing since it was created. You think they would resolve this by now!!!!!!!!!!
