The ability to automate the Task Scheduler to continuously print is fabulous, but we don't need to waste paper printing the log file. this Task Scheduler only prints to the Windows Default Printer, no matter what we define in the task. Allow turning OFF the printing of the Log, or support Deferred Printing, or just send to Paperless. Any option other than wasting paper would work.

  • Not exactly a fix, but if you set the default printer to use a COM Port it will print the log file to no where, essentially turning it off.

  • I tried Jake's suggestion and it worked. I would like to echo Madelines's recommendation, plus give us an opportunity to go to deferred printing or PaperlessOffice reports AUTOMATICALLY for the log. Thanks, and I voted.

  • Please make an enhancement for this. The default printer on the server is used for something else, and having the log file print on it is very inconvenient.

  • Yes, option to print a log file is preferred!

  • This one just bit me as well. Using task schedule to rebuild the sort indexes for the new build search utility, it kept tying up licenses. My 90 Minds group indicated that I had to have a valid default printer for this to work properly. I don't need a piece of paper every night. A log table similar to other audit log tables and an associated report would be wonderful. If you REALLY need a printer, then a deferred printer or a paperless report would be OK although extremely wasteful and inefficient.

  • Please! A log file is sufficient.

  • Please!

  • Just wanted to say that Jake's suggestion of setting the default printer on the server to print to a COM port does work. That being said I agree that we should be able to change where the log file or if it even prints at all; therefore, I voted for this enhancement.

  • I agree!
