This is imperative as we are updating a customer while we are on the phone with them it is very frustrating that we want to save or accept the changes and then we have to re-look up the account because it closes. For example adding a credit card to the account or change of address.
The same for Sale Order Entry. If I want to accept or save the order that doesn't mean I am done with the order. I want it left open on the screen as I might have to add in shipping charges and other information.
Could an auto-save function be added as well? It's hard to believe there is no way to recover a sales order (or invoice) when the power goes out or the connection to the server is lost some other way. We've had this problem periodically for years! At the very least the functionality discussed above would allow the user to save the order manually without taking the time to write down the sales order number, put it on hold, click Accept, then re-open the order.
This would be a very great improvement for those with CRM integration, because sales may work on a large quote for hours, but hate to save during the process because it closes them out of the window entirely. I plan to submit an alternate enhancement request though: give us a Save button that works as described, leaving the Accept button functionality alone. Let the user choose.
