Instead of forcing all subassemblies to explode on the lines tab, allow the user to choose which subassemblies should be exploded. Some production environments need to build some of the subassemblies ahead of time, while some of the subassemblies have to be built at the time of the production run for the parent. This allows production to increase productivity, by allowing greater flexibility to build some of the more complicated subassemblies ahead of time, so they can be stocked and issued to production while the subassemblies with less complexity can be built "from scratch" during the production of parent bill.

  • The explode subassemblies option should be controlled at the BOM level. Some make items always explode subassemblies while other make items DO NOT explode subassemblies - the default for the explode subassemblies check box should be controlled by an explode subassemblies check box in the BOM (on Bill of Materials maintenance header screen).

  • Would be very useful. Can I vote more than once.
