Sometimes an item may be produced using a BOM but then it is decided to start buying the item rather than producing it. The item is switched from "MAKE" to "BUY" but we want to keep the BOM around in case we decide to make it again in the future. We set the BOM to Inactive so it won't be used by mistake. However, now the program will not allow us to put it on a Sales Order. We either have to delete the BOM entirely or set it to Active in order to enter the item on a SO. If the item is set to "MAKE", this restriction should apply but if it is set to "BUY" we should be able to sell it with an inactive BOM.
