We have several items where something needs to be done before they can go into general inventory. Some items need to be verified by engineering, some items must be pre assembled with other items before going to stock. During receipt of goods, it would be ideal for the item memo to show up when someone goes to receive a quantity for that line item on a PO. This would eliminate someone having to remember to put a memo on a PO every time that item is ordered

  • Agreed! Other examples are: Refrigerate immediately, Break down cases for resale, ... This would be extremely helpful to have the memo show at time of receipt of goods.

  • In Inventory Management > Setup > Memo Manager Maintenance, you can setup item memos to auto display in the Receipt of Goods Entry. After that is setup when creating an item memo choose Auto Display = Always or Reminder Date. Additional control over where the memo can be displayed can be done by clicking Settings on the Item Memo Maintenance dialog.

  • I can't get this to work on v2018 and did all the steps Steve P recommended.

  • Got it to work when I logged out and back in again for some reason.

  • Update: the only system only works this way if user manually keys in item on lines tab in receipt of goods which is almost never the case for many.
