Increase name & last name fields in payroll "employee maintenance". Our company has a large population of latin employees, the costume is to keep maternal & paternal last names. This makes it very challenging to include the full name in current limited fields. The issue is costly, when processing via Aatrix (ACA reporting). As IRS can not confirm names, payroll has to manually match names and re-summit (for an additional cost).

  • With surnames like "Gonzales Rodriguez" or "Hernandez Venezuela" that Social Security allows them to put on their SSN, it makes it difficult to include the full name on the ACA forms. Some customers have split the names to be in both the first and the last name fields (i.e., First: Maria Gonz Last: ales Rodriguez) in order to do a workaround - but it creates more of a mess for the employer when it comes time to do the W2's or ACA forms.
