When upgrading or moving Sage the Link Maintenance Utility works nicely to relink Paperless Office PDF's that are already moved. The problem is that if there are tens of thousands PDF's it doesn't work very well. It would be nice to be able to select by Document and/or Date Range so we could relink a manageable number of documents instead of all. Or allow all to be relinked. I recently tried to relink 30,000 and it crashed and only relinked part of them. I had to go through the Paperless Office Journal/Register Viewer to view them one year at a time to see which ones relinked and which ones didn't. This is very time consuming and there should be a better way to relink Paperless Office Documents.

Additionally it would be nice if it was possible to check the box for display broken links up front. Currently you have to let the window load everything it can possibly load first and then you can check the box and then it scans again to find only the broken links (a lot of wasted time if there are a large number of documents).
This is particularly frustrating if you are over 100,000 records. It takes several minutes to fill the window and then you can relink at this point. Then you have to start all over again, load the 100,000 records you already relinked, check the box, scan again. Then of course it takes a very long time to actually execute the relink.
I agree with Lisa. This feature needs help. Even the date fields are not true date fields and can't be sorted as such. With thousands of records, this is cumbersome to maintain. I added an idea to fix the date field as well as adding the company code to the gridview to be sorted by.

In the 2024 Release, a new "Relink PDF Documents" task has been added to the Sage 100 Utilities. To access these utilities, select File > Run from the Launcher menu and enter *UTL.
This utility will update the PDF location reference in the Paperless Office log records for PDFs that were moved to a new server or folder using a method other than the Move button in viewer tasks.
This provides a faster way to relink the Paperless Office log records than the Link Maintenance utility and will handle thousands of records more efficiently.
This feature has been added in the 2024 Release, available on April 18/24.
